Woman's World featured Kori Krill Oil as the solution to one woman's hot flashes in their section titled, "I'm Finally Free of Hot Flashes!".

Zoe Roper awoke and looked at her bedside clock. It was just past 2 am, and she was drenched in sweat… again. Getting out of bed, she headed to the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face. Something has got to change, Zoe thought as she lay back down and waited for the waves of heat to stop pulsing through her body.

Since hitting menopause in her mid-50s, Zoe had experienced extreme hot flashes, along with severe fatigue and other menopausal symptoms. She sought help from several doctors, but nothing they suggested had really made a difference. She’d even had a hysterectomy, and her symptoms persisted.

Then, several years ago, Zoe was referred to a cardiologist for high cholesterol. He put her on RX 4,000 mg. fish oil supplements daily, explaining that it contains omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to lower cholesterol, and told her they could also help relieve her hot flashes. Her cholesterol numbers did fall, but, unfortunately, her menopause issues remained unchanged. I guess I’ll just have to learn to live like this, Zoe thought.

Then, one day, Zoe’s daughter suggested she try krill oil instead of fish oil, telling her that there were new studies that had come out about its positive effects for PMS and various menopausal symptoms.

Krill oil, Zoe learned, comes from small crustaceans, not fatty fish, which is the source of fish oil. Like fish oil, it is filled with omega-3 fatty acids that can help lower cholesterol. But it also has nutrients not found in fish oil that can help balance hormones. Additionally, krill oil is much easier for the body to digest and absorb, making it more effective.

Another plus: It doesn’t have a fishy taste or smell. A part of Zoe thought that it would lead to another dead end, but, desperate, she decided to give it a try.

Zoe started taking 2,000 mg. a day of Kori brand krill oil
($20 for a 30-tablet bottle or $57 for three bottles, Amazon.com) and was pleasantly surprised when, within just a few weeks, she realized that her hot flashes had almost completely stopped. And having no fishy burps was a huge plus!

Zoe was so pleased with the results, she’s been taking krill oil supplements every day since, and it’s been life-changing. “Since switching to krill oil, I can’t even remember when my last hot flash was!” the now-63-year-old marvels. “I finally found something that helped with the hot flashes, fatigue and my cholesterol. I feel fantastic. I have more energy to enjoy activities with my husband and grandsons. I also have noticed an overall increase in my mood. I feel like me again!”
